How It Works

Many people are curious about how subconscious behavior modification works. Hypnotherapy and other methods are new to them. If you’re wondering if it can work for you, here are the answers to a few common questions.

What Is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is not the mumbo-jumbo you’ve seen in movies. It’s a natural state of mind and you’ve experienced it more than you realize. You already know basically what it feels like. Have you ever been driving and suddenly realized that you’re at your destination – but you don’t remember what you did to arrive there? Or just about missed your subway or train stop only to “snap out of it” just in time to get off? How about watching a movie or TV show and being so absorbed in it that you ignore the people around you or even jump at a shocker on the screen? Perhaps you know that that “glazed over” feeling you get when someone boring keeps yapping and yapping. Yep, that’s it. You also go through a similar state just before you fall asleep or wake up in the morning.

Zoned Out in front of TV

It’s not creepy or sleepy, and you’ve already done it many times. You just didn’t know that’s what it was. With hypnosis as a tool, we’re directing that natural process to achieve specific benefits. One of the reasons I love being a hypnotist is that people feel so great after the process. They really do enjoy it. There’s nothing more rewarding for me than to hear someone say, “That was great!” Even better, when they experience the benefits of our time together with improvements in their daily lives.

What Can Hypnosis Do For Me?

So, now that you know what hypnosis is and what it feels like, what does it do and what’s the point of it? Well, hypnosis is one of the most elegant tools ever discovered to help you get control over yourself. It sounds funny when you think about the idea of control because most people mistakenly think they give up control under hypnosis. But that’s not the case. Your subconscious mind is the part of your mind that works on auto-pilot based on past experiences as you have interpreted them. Your subconscious often sees things differently than your conscious mind, the part of your mind that you might call your critical thinking.

Virtual Hypnosis

Here’s an example. I want to eat healthfully so that I feel good and live a long life. But that ice cream over there looks delicious. I just can’t resist it… Chomp! What we don’t realize is that there’s a whole program that went through our minds to get to that decision. Our subconscious associates something known with the ice cream that overpowered our conscious desire to eat healthfully. So, when you consider that 88% of our mind is operating on a subconscious level and only 12% is in our conscious grasp, is it any wonder that we often inexplicably are compelled to do things we consciously don’t want to do?

How Does It Work?

The good news is that we can reach the subconscious and get it more into alignment with what we consciously want – to get 100% of our mind working in the same direction. Imagine how much easier that would make things. How we get there can be a few ways. There are methods of hypnosis that involve you and a hypnotist like me. We figure out what you want to accomplish and then I help you get to that state of mind mentioned above, relax your body, and focus your mind so that suggestions get your subconscious working for you – not against you. You can also hypnotize yourself – once you learn how – to provide additional support for changes that you want to make on a subconscious level. There are CDs, MP3s, groups, webinars, books, and professional hypnotists, all of which can have a place in making positive changes.

One other thing I want to dispel, though, is the idea that “all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.” That’s not exactly true, in my opinion. Think of it like being in a car. If you’re the driver, your experience will be totally different than if you’re the passenger. It’s not necessarily bad to be in one seat or the other, but it depends on what you want from the journey.

Who Can Be Hypnotized?

As for who can be hypnotized, the answer is pretty much everyone. If you have an imagination and can follow instructions – you’re in! Of course, the idea that a hypnotist can make someone bark like a dog or do the chicken dance is kind of silly. Unless, of course, the person would enjoy barking like a dog or doing the chicken dance! You see, hypnosis won’t turn you into someone else. You can’t be “forced” to do something in hypnosis that is against your character or moral code. Some stage shows take advantage of people’s natural imaginations and willingness to perform – all in good fun. But in a private meeting with a hypnotist for your personal development, you will only accept suggestions that you are ready and willing to accept.

Anyone Can Be Hypnotized

This last point is an important one. Your commitment is essential to benefit from hypnosis. If your partner wants you to quit smoking, for instance, but you’re really not ready to do so yourself, hypnosis may have some impact on you temporarily, but is very unlikely to provide lasting results. The most successful hypnosis programs are those that speak to you as a person, committed to making the changes addressed.

The most important keys to success with hypnosis are the trust between those involved and commitment to the desired outcome.

Flexible And Efficient

I try to make my services as flexible and efficient as possible for busy people. I primarily work through private online and webinar sessions. My programs are customized to get results. I use innovative approaches to suit your needs.

Flexible and Efficient

While hypnosis deals with the subconscious mind, I also provide coaching, which focuses on the conscious mind.

Hypnosis vs. Coaching

Hypnosis addresses our subconscious, the part of our mind that can prevent us from doing what we really want to do. Our conscious mind, which is the part of us that is frustrated by knowing what it wants and getting sabotaged by our subconscious, can benefit greatly from a process that provides clear and focused guidance and support. This conscious process is called coaching.

What is a coach?

The word coaching has a lot of connotations these days, but the way I like to look at it comes literally from the sports world. Consider an athlete, endowed with certain skills and talents. Maybe the athlete can achieve great things all alone. But many athletes, even the very best ones, find that having a coach helps them realize their greatest potential.

What do you do as a coach?

As a coach, I help you define your needs and goals, ask questions that make you think and consider ideas and concepts more concretely, help you develop strategies and action plans, and keep you accountable for the progress you make.

Coaching Words

Coaches don’t do the work for you. They don’t make your decisions. They guide you into determining the best way you can achieve whatever you’ve set out to do. And, they help you grow personally, professionally, or as a group by giving you games, exercises, thought experiments, tools, and even some innovative processes to fuel your progress.

Virtual Coaching

I find that no matter how much you may mull over a challenge in your mind, having a coach can provide additional perspective. Good coaches ask important questions, offer useful new ways to think about things, and provide practical tools to draw out your thinking. They also hold you accountable and keep you pushing forward in your personal evolution.

Benefits of coaching

Coaching provides a new way to connect with your conscious mind, the part of your mind that critically analyzes, questions, and considers. Your ability to connect more effectively with your conscious mind can help you better define and associate more deeply with your purpose, goals, and motivations. In addition, there are methods of coaching such as NLP Coaching or Hypno-Coaching that subtly engage the subconscious as well. The Impact Method that I have developed includes both subconscious and conscious elements for a congruent approach that engages the whole mind.

Change Words

In this way, you and I will work together to target your conscious mind on the priorities you decide. We then will build a method of accomplishing them. Imagine how coaching can accelerate your achievements by clarifying what you want and creating a specific course of action that gets you there, based on your insights and understanding.

Virtual And Convenient

All sessions are conducted virtually through WhatsApp, Skype, or another videoconferencing platform. The easiest way to get and stay comfortable is to avoid the stress of fighting traffic, getting to an office, and trying to stay relaxed in someone else’s space. I want to make it as easy for you to feel great from the first minute we get together. And, all the methods I use are effective through virtual means.

Convenient

What’s The Cost?

The bottom line is that I want to make my services accessible and affordable for as many people as possible. I’ve decided to make one low price per session. $50/USD (for U.S. clients) or €45/Euro (for European Clients) each. No muss, no fuss, no kidding.

How To Book A Session?

Book A Session by clicking this or any “Book A Session” link and choosing a time that works for you. Once you book a session you will be provided with payment instructions. Payment must be made within 24 hours of booking or the appointment will be cancelled. If you are unable to make your session you must inform me at least 24 hours before the session.
